In order to provide greater consistency and transparency of information to investors, various private equity industry associations have worked together to produce guidelines for their members and the broader industry. Presented below are valuation, reporting and corporate governance guidelines that have been developed to promote best practice in the private equity industry.

Valuation Guidelines

EMPEA endorses the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines (IPEV Guidelines) and the Private Equity Industry Guidelines Group (PEIGG) valuation guidelines as acceptable methodologies for emerging markets private equity funds. See both sets of guidelines below.
